Lemon Limeade with Strawberries and Mint

Ingredients
1 lemon
3 limes
Zest of 1-1⁄2 limes 1 cup water

1 cup granulated sugar
4 cups cold water
Ice
1 pint strawberries, hulled and chopped (small to medium size) 1⁄2 cup fresh mint, torn into pieces

Instructions:

Juice the lemon and limes together. Pour into a pitcher with the lime zest and set aside.

In a small saucepan, heat the I cup water with the sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, remove from the heat. Cool a little, then pour into the pitcher.

Add the 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well. Add ice, as desired. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

A few hours before serving add 2-3 tablespoons of granulated sugar to the strawberries, stir, let sit to absorb the sugar and release juices. Put 2 tablespoons of the sugared strawberries in each glass, with some mint, some ice, and pour in the lemon-limeade…Cheers!!
