Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cups finely chipped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent, about 8 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute more. Stir in mustard, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and Vinegar and cook for 3-5 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool. Serve with crackers and sharp cheddar cheese; or, spread on sandwiches.
